Becky's Challenge to You

During our last 30 minutes of Saturday's MAC Fit session, we talked about a lot of things.  We talked about the readings in our Jesus Calling books and shared some favorite scriptures from the past week's readings.  We also visited about how it takes great discipline in our lives to eat right and exercise regularly.

This blog is one tool you can use to support one another in the journey to fitness of body, mind, and soul. I challenge you this week to leave at least ONE comment that will encourage other readers.

Just Do It!  Click on the "Comments" button and leave a comment!
I'll be watching for you.  :-)

Whew, it was hot yesterday! And no relief in sight. It's hard to get motivated to work out in the heat. So I was so glad when one of my workout buddies, Haleigh Olsen, showed up for barn gym last night! Thanks Haleigh! We sweated it out (thankfully we have a window A/C out there, or we'd all croak) and got in some MAC Fit moves and abs.

Way to go Christa and Haleigh! After much help and prayerful support from my Mac Fit girls, I have successfully found the motivation and power to wake up early for my Jesus time, and some days I even get up with enough time to go for a jog or work out before the heat is unbearable! I honestly couldn't have conquered the early morning woes without you guys, and God's tremendous help too. July 1st's Jesus Calling was a big help, too! :)

I love gardening. I have been spending alot of time in the garden this past week. All of the sudden, I have peas, beans, squash, beets, and broccoli all producing at once!

So I am finding myself with strengthened legs from doing squats over the bean rows! Thanks Kacey for the instruction on how to do those effectively! I can tell my legs are getting stronger.

I find gardening so rewarding. It's fascinating to plant small seeds, tend to the soil, fertilize, water, weed, etc, and then one day watch "fruit" begin to appear...and not just a little fruit...A LOT!

I can't help but think of the spiritual parallel here. God is our Master Gardener and He is busy at work, growing and maturing us, weeding out sins, watering us with His Living Water, and feeding us by His Living Word.

Imagine the delight and joy He feels when one day we become fruit bearers for His Kingdom.

God is growing me physically and spiritually in the garden. Where is He "talking" to you? How is He challenging you these days?

I have been kind of lazy this week both physically and spiritually, but I'm not giving up! I will get back into my routine!

I have missed MacFit 3 Saturdays in a row. By missed I mean haven't been there AND miss not being there. I now realize how the encouragement of others makes a difference as I have really slacked off doing the exercises at home. I look forward to being there this Saturday, even though I will probably be a little sore on Sunday. But it is a good soreness.
